THIS WOULD HAVE TO BE THE BEST KEPT SECRET IN S.A. A TRUE SANDBELT COURSE DRY AS ANY IN WINTER AND SURPRISINGLY GREEN IN SUMMER.BE AWARE THE COURSE IS NOT IN GAWLER BUT ABOUT 6 MIN DRIVE TO SANDY CREEK.FULL FACILITIES AVALABLE WITH A PRO WHO GOES THE FULL LENGTH TO MAKE YOUR DAY ENJOYABLE TO A WELCOMING CLUBHOUSE INVIRONMENT WITH CHEAP SNACKS AVAILABLE. NOW TO THE COURSE , PERHAPS THESE GREENS ARE THE EQUAL TO ANY COURSE IN THE STATE PERHAPS A BIT FIRM AND QUICK FOR THE MUG BUT A SURPRISE TO ANYONE ON THEIR IST VISIT.THE FAIRWAYS ARE THICK KIYKUYA WHICH MAKES THE COURSE PLAY LONGER BUT ENSURES YOU ALWAYS HAVE A GOOD LIE.THE COURSE IS UNDULATING AND THE VIEWS FANTASTIC FROM THE HIGHER SPOTS. THE PAR THREES ARE A FEATURE WITH HOLES 4,6,11 AS GOOD AS ANY SELECTION OF PAR THREES IN THE STATE. TWO LONGISH PAR 5S AND TWO SHORTER ONES REACHABLE FOR MOST IN TWO. THE PAR 4S ARE A GOOD MIXTURE WITH THE 16TH A STANDOUT WITH OOB RIGHT OFF THE TEE , WATER FLANKING THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE GREEN AND A WIKEDLY FAST SLOPING GREEN.SEEMS A BIT STRANGE THE 1ST,3RD,10TH & 17TH GREENS WITHOUT ANY BUNKERING ARE TINY AND SEEM OUT OF CHARACTER WITH THE REST.ALL IN ALL A REAL TEST AND APART FROM SUNDAY MORNINGS IT IS EXTREMELY QUIET.WELL WORTH THE $35 GREEN FEE WHICH AT FIRST SEEMED A BIT RICH BUT CERTAINLY A GREAT TRACK FOR THE GOLFER WITH ABOVE AVERAGE ABILITY.

The front 9 is set on undulating land with large gum trees being the main feature. The back 9, original 9, is much flatter but also dotted with large gums. Visiting players are always impressed with the native Australian setting which backdrops the course.
