The front 9 is set on undulating land with large gum trees being the main feature. The back 9, original 9, is much flatter but also dotted with large gums. Visiting players are always impressed with the native Australian setting which backdrops the course.

Worth the Trip

Echunga is a great little course just outside Hahndorf. While it is a short course, the use of doglegs and natural surrounds make it no easy task. Well placed water hazards, many trees and tricky greens will test all golfers. My favourite hole was the 315m par 4 3rd, which has a huge tree encroaching the left side of the fairway about 50m short of the green. It also has a steep drop on the right side of the green with a bunker there - making it a hole to play many different ways. This course is worth the trip down the freeway, just remember to hit it straight.
