Not just big, but also rude!

I have been in Canberra for a year and getting back into my golf and as Pete's is the biggest store in Canberra it gets a great deal of attention. I have on most occasions found the staff to be either rude or lazy. When talking to them about items I have seen on the Web, they become rude. When talking to staff on the phone they are also rude if you are not completely specific about an item. And there is certainly no rush by the staff to fix items once you drop them off. All of this is bad for business, and here is why: 1 - My wife rang about an electric buggy I was looking to buy on the Web and after providing the details she was told by a salesman that it sounded like "complete crap" and that he had no idea what she was after, but any buggy with a remote was little more than a toy, I now have a $1300 buggy form another outlet. 2 - I dropped off a driver and new shaft on a Thursday for fitting, and was told it would be at least 24 hours so glue could set, no problem. When I rang on Saturday morning to pick it up I was told it had not been done and when did I want it? For any golfer who drops a club off during the week I'm sure a 6 year old could work out when it would be required! Anyway, after explaining that I said I must have it for Sunday at 11am and yes it was done - just poor business practice. 3 - After buying a GPS off the Web I went to Pete's to buy a bracket and was rudely informed that I needed the type and serial number to get the correct item, it has a belt clip on the GPS and any flat bracket would have done the job. Again no sale due to being rude. 4 - Being a major Callaway outlet I asked about a set of Diablo forged irons only to be told they were no longer available and it would be a waste of time even making a phone call about them, In 15 minutes at Drummonds I had a price! Standards and good business practice are lacking in the staff, and as a result you driving more people to use the Web.
